About Matthew Rickard

Matthew Rickard studied at the University of Surrey and the Royal Academy of Music where he specialised in piano accompaniment. Matthew's teachers included Michael Dussek and Clive Williamson. 

Matthew is currently accompanist to the award-winning Farnham Youth Choir  and Horsley Choral Society as well working with many other groups on a freelance basis.

Recent highlights include a tour to New Zealand with Farnham Youth Choir to compete at the 2025 World Choir Games in Auckland. The tour was a great success, and the choir were delighted to win two gold medals.

Matthew has also been involved in several evenings of Words and Music with Sir Terry Waite, including a recent appearance at the Guernsey Literary Festival

Matthew has recorded several CDs for the EM Records and Toccata Classics labels and has also played live on BBC Radio 3's In Tune programme.
